Not All Who Wander Are Lost – Some Like The Detour

Another Kitty Gone

This morning, my husband woke me up to let me know Fuzzy had passed away. Fuzzy was the kitten who had been living in a bin on our kitchen counter. She along with 5 other kittens were rejected by their mom and given to us to care for. Our momma cat, Chocolate, who lost her litter of kittens took right to them. It’s been two weeks, but at some point, she decided that Fuzzy wasn’t worth caring for anymore. I found her wet, cold, starving, and alone. It could be due to the large abscess or that she was the runt of the litter, I’m not sure. At any rate, we brought her inside to care for ourselves. We gave her my heated lap pad and a stuffed kitten to snuggle. She refused food the first day inside and only ate 9mL the second day. She passed as my husband was giving her a morning bottle this morning, the third day. We didn’t get to have her long but she is probably my favorite kitten to have cared for so far.
